Pianist and composer, Giuseppe Di Leo approaches the world of music as a child. Under the guidance of his father Enzo, his first teacher, he attained, at the age of 19, with the highest marks, the Piano Diploma at the "Umberto Giordano" Conservatory of Foggia, after having participated in various piano competitions, resulting in being the winner . He holds concerts in various Italian Musical Societies. His repertoire is broad and ranges from the Baroque to the music of the '900. He perfected himself under the guidance of Maestro Bruno Mezzena, following the course of High Specialization at the Musical Academy of Pescara.
Growing up, the idea of further deepening musical studies matured, embarking on the path of composition. He begins to write as a self-taught artist, first testing himself in transcriptions and arrangements for piano solo and 4 hands, including a transcription of the famous Hungarian Rhapsody 2 by F. Liszt, the Dance of the sabers by A. Kachaturian and the Concerto for piano and orchestra n.2 of S. Rachmaninov. Subsequently it acquires the awareness of being able to write original music. From that moment on, a new phase of study and research began which still accompanies him. Already a student of Maestro Stefano Cucci, a close collaborator of Ennio Morricone, he is a graduate in Composition at the "L. Refice" Music Conservatory of Frosinone, under the guidance of Maestro Enrico Marocchini. His production as a composer is varied and includes numerous piano pieces, including the Sonata n.1 and the Fantasy "Infausto Messaggero", chamber music pieces, such as the "Notturno Oblivion" for alto sax and piano and "Fanny bird" for flute and piano, and symphonic pieces, such as the symphonic dance "Fête du village", "... sketches ...", variations for small orchestra on original theme and "Onde", symphonic poem in a movement. Particular attention is also paid to the sacred polyphonic genre, which includes works such as the Missa Brevis in G, the Via Crucis, the Ave Maria.
