Peter James Cannon

Peter James Cannon (1939-present) was born in Providence, Rhode Island to a Irish (father)

and Italian (mother). He grew up in Providence and served in the US Coast Guard (1957-1959). After finishing his CG service, he attended and graduated from Providence College. After graduation he joined the Peace Corps(1963-1965) serving in the Philippines. During the period 1966 to 2004 he lived and worked in numerous Asian and African countries. His first book is Africa Anything is Possible- the Unmaking of a Conservative.
