I wrote my first novel, We, the Outcasts of a Killing Sun while working at a coastal nature reserve. The work was based in an old coastguard's station and when gales brought rain howling across the dunes I began to imagine what it might be like for a child to live there and that kicked off the whole amazing and surreal adventure.
The 2nd novel, The Mystery of the Wailing Ghost Child, is much shorter. It's a story I used to tell children in my class when the weather turned dark and foreboding. 'It was a day like this when Edward disappeared,' I began and everyone wanted to know what happened to him.
Of Una, Crime and a Boy who slipped through Time is my 3rd novel, quite long again. The adults in this one are all weird while the children are sincere and always engage enthusiastically with their environment, exploring the world and making discoveries. They face great dangers at times and when crooks lead them to a remote clifftop on the coast one of the children even travels through time. He has a mystery to unravel and the lives of two young children to save. If he can!
I hope you enjoy reading as much as I have enjoyed writing the novels!
