Eve Sprunt

After earning Bachelors and Masters degrees from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Eve Sprunt was the first woman to earn a doctorate in geophysics from Stanford University. She gave birth to her first child, Alexander, nine months after she defended her thesis, and her daughter Elsa while working for Mobil Oil. Eve spent thirty-five years in the petroleum industry, twenty-one of them at Mobil and fourteen at Chevron, and has received numerous industry awards and honors. She holds twenty-three patents and has authored dozens of scholarly papers and other articles, as well as the book A Guide for Dual-Career Couples. Eve and her husband Hugh live in Dublin, California.
