Paul Westbrook was born and raised in New Orleans, LA. After receiving his BS in Mechanical Engineering from LSU he worked at a large semiconductor company in Dallas. He led the successful effort to build the first LEED Gold semiconductor facility in the world – a facility that improved energy efficiency by 41%. Then, he worked with all existing facilities worldwide and doubled global energy efficiency in just 9 years. Paul served for two years as a Senior Fellow for the US State Department’s Energy & Climate Partnership for the Americas. He is a LEED Accredited Professional. Since 1996 Paul has lived in a passive/active solar home, which he designed, in Fairview, TX (https://enerjazz.com/house). The design won the 1996 NAHB Energy Value Housing Award for Innovative Design. Paul now runs RE:source - a consulting firm that specializes in radical efficiency.
