Wayne Clendening

My life started in humble surroundings. I was born in Atlanta, Ga and was the first son of Shelby J. and Dorothy Driskell Clendening.

My first job was selling newspapers when I was five years old. I landed my first corporate job at 38 in one of the most recognizable companies on earth. My corporate career started with a one day assignment and no promise other than one day of employment. I recently retired after 28 years of service. One day can become thousands when placed in the hands of a loving God.

I was fortunate to be surrounded by some of the greatest Christian influences all my life. Those saints guided, mentored, and provided insight still relevant in my life today.

My writing began at the age of 13 when I penned a letter for my Mechanical drawing teacher who was retiring. It continues to this day.

So, I am a poet, gratefully retired from the greatest company on earth, and a product of great Christian family and friends. I am blessed in every sense of the word
