Dr. Johnson is a long time executive, professor and author in the health system and health insurance industries. His most recent book, America’s Forgotten Hero, has been published and is available from Amazon.
He obtained a master’s degree from the University of Kansas and a doctorate degree from Ashbourne University.
America’s Forgotten Hero is about the life of William Barton, a Rhode Island Colonel who daringly captured a British General in the most breathtaking raid during the American Revolutionary War, giving the American’s a huge morale boost at a time when the War was going badly. He also was instrumental in helping Rhode Island become the final colony to ratify the US Constitution, and was chosen to personally deliver that news to President George Washington. Dr. Johnson is the fifth great grandson of Colonel Barton.
Based on his love of history and the Kansas Jayhawk basketball team, he published Kansas University Basketball Legends in 2013, which covered 35 basketball legends associated with KU during its unparalleled history. The next year, he published the sequel More University of Kansas Basketball Legends, both produced by The History Press of Charleston, South Carolina. He is currently working on a book by others of his forbearers, John and Priscilla Alden, who came to America on the Mayflower.
