Lisa Parkes is a writer, educator, and storyteller with a passion for helping people uncover truth, whether that’s in their own lives or at the heart of a good mystery.

Lisa is the author of Stuck Between Two Worlds, a coming-of-age novel that explores friendship, courage, and finding your place in the world. She is also the creator of Smiley Thought Cards, a children’s affirmation deck designed to build confidence and support emotional wellbeing. Her work has been featured in the Financial Times and the Daily Mail.

More recently, Lisa has turned her attention to cosy crime, creating the Dolly Sunflower Mysteries, a series with a mystical twist. Combining humour, intuition, community, and a touch of the unexpected, the stories follow Dolly Sunflower, an amateur sleuth and burnt-out school counsellor who finds herself tangled in the secrets, scandals, and suspicious deaths of the prestigious residents of Poeshwick.

When she’s not writing, Lisa can usually be found journaling, drinking tea, solving mysteries, and dreaming up new adventures for Dolly and her eccentric cast of characters.
