L.A. Smith

L.A. Smith was born in Alberta, Canada, where she has lived all her life. She honed her writing skills with short stories and found publication for many of them in various online and print publications. Once she felt she was ready, she turned her efforts to writing a novel. She loves fantasy fiction, and has a keen interest in history. She's always had a fondness for portal fantasy, where someone from our world is transported to another (besides Narnia, of course, an early favourite was the Chronicles of Thomas Covenant, by Stephen Donaldson, as well as the Outlander books by Diana Gabaldon). Combine those all together and include many years of research and writing, and The Traveller's Path series was born. Wilding is the first book in the trilogy, and was published in May 2019.

Besides writing, L.A. Smith loves reading, knitting, drinking tea, and walking her dog. Most days, not all at once.
