Nadia Gilkes

Nadia Gilkes is an attorney, author, and creative who believes life was never meant to be lived in a box.

A proud graduate of Texas Wesleyan University School of Law, Nadia is licensed to practice in Texas and holds a special admission to practice in Nevada. For nearly two decades, she has dedicated her career to family law, guiding individuals and families through some of life’s most challenging moments, including divorce, custody, child support, and guardianship matters. She also has a passion for estate planning and probate, helping clients protect what matters most and plan for the future with care.

While she deeply values her work in service to others, Nadia recognized that a life devoted entirely to giving can sometimes leave little room for creating. In 2019, she made a conscious decision to step beyond expectations, reconnect with her creative spirit, and begin building a life that allowed space for both purpose and passion. That same year, she published her debut novella, Woke Up Dead—a witty, tongue-in-cheek story about a young woman navigating the chaos of waking up at her own funeral and discovering that returning to “normal” is anything but simple.

Nadia is the founder of eLegal Cafe LLC, where she serves as a family law coach and trusted guide for those navigating both legal matters and personal life transitions. Known for her thoughtful perspective and ability to help others see possibilities more clearly, she often acts as a brainstorming partner—what she calls a “Pivot Partner”—supporting others as they move through change and step into what’s next.

She is also deeply committed to service and leadership through Toastmasters International, where she is a two-time Distinguished Toastmaster and Past District Director, with a passion for developing communicators and leaders across diverse communities.

At her core, Nadia is a creative. She enjoys quilting, writing, attending arts and craft festivals, and traveling for concerts—especially when it means experiencing P!nk live (because, as she will tell you, they are not concerts… they are bucket list experiences). She is also a proud Buffalo Bills fan, celebrating the highs and surviving the heartbreak year after year.
