Since 1978, George Rothacker has owned Rothacker Advertising & Design, a firm specializing in creating coordinated marketing campaigns using multimedia and many of his own paintings and illustrations.
As a writer, photographer and film editor, Mr. Rothacker has produced many documentaries, including “America in Black and White and Many Colors,” a history of discrimination and diversity in the United States, “Words of the Heart,” the story of Thomas Garrett and his great,-great niece Dorothy Biddle James, who both fought for human rights throughout their lives, and a video bio of the actor Jimmy Stewart entitled “Aways Be Nice to People.”
Since 2019, George has written 10 novels, a children’s book with pictures and a memoir focused on his 50-years as an artist. His latest published book is “The Book of Edie” that offers readers modern day examples through which to reexamine stories from the Old and New Testaments that many of us have become familiar with in simpler forms through children’s books, religious study groups, TV shows and movies. Using the science of the 21st century, “The Book of Edie” which explores the source of our talents and strengths, and how, despite our weaknesses, we may have the ability to choose our paths through life rather than having them chosen for us.
George Rothacker grew up in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania and has lived with his wife., Barbara in nearby Radnor since 1984. He graduated from Upper Darby High School in 1965 and earned an Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Temple Technical Institute in 1968.
