Jamie Weaver

Books have always been very important and very special to me. Growing up, my parents were always instilling in me that reading was fun, enjoyable, and sometimes even magical. During outings, they would often give me the option when I was young that they could either buy me one toy or three books. I almost always took the books. Reading provided an escape for me as well as a window to see the world from other people's perspectives. I often also found similarities in characters and myself, helping me feel not so alone in what can often feel like a very lonely world. For me, to be an author is to give that joy, bonding, understanding, and hope to other people. However, that is not the only reason I write. I also write because I just have so many stories inside of me and I just have to share them. So, whether it is my books or someone else's, just keep reading, feed your soul and find what moves you.

So what types of books do I write? What are my genres? Honestly, I couldn't tell you. I love all genres and I have written in all of them. Life is so full of different experiences and dreams, I can't just settle on one or two genres. However, the books that I have published thus far are a poetry collection (Storm in my Teacup and other poems), a non-fiction book about spirituality and witchcraft (It's Witchcraft), and a fiction novel that has a hard time sitting in one genre (Anything). Currently, I'm putting the finishing touches on my next novel, A Burning Bridge, which could be classified as a Family Drama with Thriller elements.

As for my current works in progress, I have several and they fall under various genres including Cyberpunk, Psychological Horror, Middle Grade Fantasy, Fantasy, New Adult, and Horror.
