Arianna Colomba

Arianna Colomba writes fantasy and romance with a dark edge. She creates worlds where magic, folklore, and the supernatural intertwine with troubled love stories, dangerous desires, and characters who can captivate even when it would be wiser to fear them.

Born in Livorno, Italy, in 1984, she grew up reading Gothic classics and horror fiction. She pursued her passion for literature through literary and language studies focused on publishing. In 2020, she became a bestselling author with her dark fantasy novel L’Ultimo Dorcha.

In 2026, she founded Vesperion, where she serves as Editorial Director. She shapes its editorial vision and publishing list, overseeing the selection and development of manuscripts through to publication.

In her novels, she pays close attention to the legends and rules of the worlds she creates, her characters’ contradictions, and the consequences of their choices. Sensuality, violence, and irreverent humour characterise her fiction for adult readers, which explores the conflict between fate and free will, the ambiguity of human bonds, and the price of defying the roles others have chosen for us.
