H.D. Ingles

H.D. Ingles is a North Carolina writer, known for his humorous and touching family sketches and historical fiction novels.

H.D. has published two collections of autobiographical short stories. "The Forties & The Fifties" offers a glimpse into growing up in a large family during America's Golden Age. Meanwhile, "Wrath of Grapes" features playful and entertaining stories set during the Cold War era, inspired by his time serving in the U.S. Air Force.

He has also written three history books. “A Stroll Through American History | Milestones in U.S. History” is a glimpse into the main events in our nation’s story. It’s an excellent study guide.

His book, “The Confederate Navy | A Book About Ships and Harbors” is about the great water battles of the war between the states. It’s a must-read for history buffs and students.

His most recent book is of a similar vein. "American Wars: The American Revolution" is a study guide about the American Revolution, from the pre-war rumblings through the signing of the Treaty of Paris. An excellent refresher.
