Mark Bergin was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1958 and attended Harriton High School in suburban Rosemont. He graduated from Boston University with a degree in journalism and worked four years as a newspaper reporter, winning the Virginia Press Association Award for general news reporting before joining the Alexandria, Virginia, Police Department in 1986.
Twice named Police Officer of the Year for narcotics and robbery investigations, he served in most of the posts described in APPREHENSION and rose to the rank of Lieutenant. APPREHENSION is his first novel in an anticipated series. Look for ST. MICHAEL'S DAY to continue the story.
