Jena Fellers walks by faith, not by sight—both physically and spiritually. While in college, she was diagnosed with RP, retinitis pigmentosa, a progressive and incurable eye disease. Nevertheless, Jena obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from Emporia State University.
She taught special education for three years and worked with teenage male juvenile offenders before her vision loss necessitated her going on disability.
Going from little to no vision did not stop Jena. While on disability, she married Steve Fellers. They have three children and four grandchildren. Jena was privileged to home school several of them.
In Baxter Springs, Kansas, Steve and Jena have pastored Trinity Worship Center since 1998. There, Jena has taught children regularly and plays the flute at church services on the praise and worship team.
As an author, inspirational speaker, and co-pastor, Jena loves to share personal stories to assist in changing your focus from life's hardships heavenward, so God's blessings and opportunities can be seen in every situation. Her passion is to educate and encourage others to follow Christ a little closer through speaking and blogging.
In addition to blogging, Jena has written articles for their local newspaper, published two articles in the Magnets and Ladders online magazine, and is a regular contributor to Echoes, the publication of Full Gospel Churches International.
