Shenese Davis Colwell, the owner of L.A.B. Work & Fitness (Life After Bariatrics) has made it a mission to pay it forward by helping patients deal with overeating and the emotional habits and triggers that may contribute to poor eating habits. After having bariatric surgery, clients frequently find that relationships and emotional connections (with people and food) can be a “mind” field (minefield) of confusion and frustration. Shenese has been instrumental and inspirational in helping post bariatric patients master the art of “balance” when it comes to the bariatric fundamentals of food and fitness! Successful maintenance on the weight loss surgery journey is the ultimate goal and helping others find balance in what works for them is one of the key components she continues to promote. A successful bariatric patient, who has maintained over 115 pounds down, for 7 years, Shenese is consistently seeking ways to give back in providing services and resources that help others find their way in succeeding and making this process a manageable turning point in their health! She is currently a contributor and very active member for The Obesity Action Coalition community, as well as a bariatric health and lifestyle coach, a certified fitness coach, and an effective and caring group support leader. Shenese is passionate about helping weight loss surgery patients excel and succeed in their journey by finding their way to “bridge the gap between weight loss surgery, fitness, and maintenance!
