The first time my words landed on a page and made someone feel something, I was nine. It was a poem—for my mother—and it won. I’ve been chasing that quiet magic ever since.

At twelve, I was gifted a diary. I wrote in it every day for seven years—without fail. I was captivated by the honesty of Laura Ingalls Wilder and Anne Frank, and their influence showed up in my pages, one hash mark at a time. I kept count in pen on the inside back cover—because even then, I knew the story mattered.

When I was fourteen, I wrote my first play and cast my friends in the starring roles. One of the characters? Constance Snow. I wouldn’t learn until decades later that Constance Hopkins Snow—my ninth great-grandmother—came to America on the Mayflower. Even then, I was writing into something older than I knew. Storytelling was already in my blood.

At sixteen, I received an electric typewriter and was certain I was on my way to becoming a novelist. But like many young dreamers, I was told, you can’t make a living doing that. So I followed my second passion: medicine.

Much like in my earliest days, I never stopped writing—I just changed forms. While raising my family and working full-time, I kept a blog—first as a mom sharing the raw, beautiful chaos of parenthood, then as a health and wellness coach, encouraging women to care for their bodies, minds, and dreams.

Nearly forty years later—after a career in nursing, raising five children, and launching a second career as a board-certified health and wellness coach—I’ve come full circle, back to my first love: writing.

I’m drawn to the untold stories—the ones hidden between the lines of official record. My work is shaped by a deep love of history, genealogy, and detail. I’m especially fascinated by the women history tried to silence—and I’m determined to give them voice.

Through historical fiction, I explore themes of agency, sacrifice, and identity in eras when women were rarely seen as the authors of their own fate.

Welcome to my world. I’m so glad you’re here.
