Jerome Matiyas is a graphic/visual designer by profession and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology-Software Emphasis, with several IT certifications. Born and raised in the festive Caribbean twin-island Republic of Trinidad & Tobago, Jerome has been residing in the Washington DC Tri-State area (DMV) of the U.S.A. since 1998. From a very young age, he has had a love and passion for art, history, films, music, and cultures.
Jerome has a special interest in Biblical studies in scripture, archeology, and ancient writings. He has a passion for Ethiopian and Eritrean culture, history, art, and people. He also loves sci-fi and fantasy movies, books, American and Japanese animation (anime), comic books and graphic novels. All of these interests culminate into the making of the Mekonnen Epic Series.
