Elijah Latin was born (July 20,1950-) in Tomball Texas, his mother being of Native American descent. In 1954 his parents moved to a small settlement called Korhville Texas, about 12 miles north of Houston Texas. Elijah was among the group of students that integrated Klein High School in 1965. Later, in 1986 he became a long haul Truck driver delivering goods (over the road) in the USA and Canada. He began writing while waiting on loads and during long breaks, as a result it became his passion, and he was encouraged by many to share his writing.

Elijah began writing poems for friends and relatives, his poems was well loved by all whom he wrote for, so came the idea of putting his poems in book form. After retiring from trucking in 2017 Elijah concentrated on his writing and getting published. With less work to do Elijah discovered he had a green thumb and started a vegetable garden, growing tomatoes,

cucumbers, corn and melons, he also grows fruit, blueberries, apples, lemons and grapes. Just like his green thumb, Elijah's poems are different from your ordinary poems, they are unique, inspirational and hilarious. They are very enjoyable, and Elijah has a great imagination and talent for writing poems which brought to light, "Elijah's Book of Poems." Elijah has released his second book of poems, 8/2020 "Elijah's book of poems 2", with 140 assorted poems, spiritual, love and humor. The author also included as a bonus, a short story of him as a teenager growing up in Korhville Texas, a small country town, just north of Houston, Texas. It's entertaining and an enjoyable read. It's a must read!
