Danielle Michaud Aubrey

I am retired from a wonderful career in the Public Service of Canada. And I also have had a challenging lifelong academic career - one course at a time.

I am the mother of three adult children and grandmother of four. Aside from running a baby B&B, my favorite pastimes include reading, gardening, camping (in our ol' '73 VW) and outdoor activities.

My reading interests have closely followed my academic career: psychology, crisis intervention, women's studies, Indigenous and conflict studies. My personal library has treasures from all over the world, and the selections enable a better understanding of historical and present-day events.

Academic career: BA Sociology and Psychology, Carleton University Ottawa (1973), Crisis Management/Human Psychology, Algonquin College Ottawa (2002), Honours BA in Psychology and Women's Studies, Ottawa U (2009), Masters in Conflict Studies, St Paul's University Ottawa (2015).

As a new writer/author, I hope to help children learn about conflict, engage in collaborative events, and build helping communities. My stories have animal and human characters which allow for whimsical story lines with simple lessons.

I hope that readers will enjoy the stories as much as I have enjoyed writing them!
