Katie Disharoon ND is a Naturopathic Doctor and a proud member of the West Clinic Draper team, serving patients in the beautiful state of Utah. Her focus is helping women and men regain their edge and make the leap from feeling "OK" to feeling their best.
Dr. Disharoon has been fortunate enough to have trained at the premier Naturopathic institutions in the US -- including Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington, National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon and Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona. During Naturopathic medical school she was fortunate enough to rotate through a wide variety of practice settings – her favorite of which was serving underserved populations in the Portland region. During her residency in Tempe, AZ in primary care she worked with fantastic mentors who are veterans in the Naturopathic world such as Dr. Christina Youngren and Dr. Mona Morstein. Post residency she had the opportunity to specialize in bioidentical hormone replacement and anti-aging therapies -- an area she continues to be passionate about today. She also served on the Medical Support staff at DiagnosTechs clinical and research laboratory where she consulted with providers around the world on patient cases. Additionally, she has spoken internationally on hormones and gut health and presented on behalf of DiagnosTechs, Inc.
In 2018 she joined the team at West Clinic Draper and moved her practice to the Salt Lake City area. Dr. Disharoon has trained in a variety of injection and alternative therapies with Dr. Jason West and Dr. Frank Shallenberger and is excited to serve patients in West Clinic's first Utah location.
Her areas of specialty include thyroid hormones, sex hormones, chronic GI complaints and fatigue from many causes including chronic infection and musculoskeletal pain.
When not in the clinic, Dr. Disharoon enjoys spending time with her partner, Peter, and their two dogs Ozzie and Baxter. She is an avid fitness enthusiast and enjoys running and going to Orange Theory.
