About the Author

I am an established artist who draws inspiration from my own life experiences and the stories people share with me. I always find a touch of humor in everything, and I love spreading joy and laughter through my art. My hope is to inspire others to do the same.

I’ve always dreamed of writing children’s books, and that dream has only grown stronger since becoming a grandmother. Imaginative stories nourish the soul and spark learning — that’s why writing and illustrating has become a true passion of mine.

A few years ago, I began creating a children’s book series inspired by the real childhood adventures of my partner, Derek.

The Series: Don’t Do What Derek Did

Book 1 – Derek’s Cowboy Capers

Find out what happens when Derek shows up at school dressed as a cowboy.

Book 2 – Derek’s Bad Hair day

Derek takes a big risk when he decides to become a barber.

Book 3 – Derek’s Ice-capades

Derek discovers just how much trouble he can get into — and cause for others — during his frozen expedition.

Derek’s stories touched me deeply, and I knew they would resonate with children everywhere. They’re told simply, through the eyes of a child, with lively dialogue that lets the illustrations tell much of the story.

I hope readers will find as much joy in reading these tales as I did in creating them. Derek’s inventive ideas — always carried out with great enthusiasm — often led him into hilarious and heartwarming situations.

If you love seeing the world through a child’s eyes, you’ll adore these stories.

The first two books are currently available as eBooks in this store (please excuse the temporary preview issue — awaiting a fix from KDP/Amazon). Stay tuned for Derek’s Icy Adventures, coming soon!
