Afshan Malik

Afshan Malik is a Chicago native turned southern belle who loves Dr. Pepper, new projects, and historical novels. Afshan works as the Director of Development at Rabata, a global nonprofit organization dedicated to creating positive cultural change through Muslim women's education, tarbiya, and community. She has a Masters in nonprofit management, a Bachelors in English Language and Literature, and additional Islamic Studies and professional certifications through the Ribaat Academic Institute, the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, and more. Afshan is the calm eye of the storm in much of what life tosses her way and enjoys soaking up the Texas sun with her husband and five children.
