Sincerely Louise

I'm Louise, an award winning knitting pattern designer with a degree in commercial photography. After learning to knit at university I became completely obsessed and began creating props for the fashion editorials I was making. After graduating I didn't want to become a photographer's assistant and found there were limited jobs for somebody with a passion in craft, but had no qualifications.

I decided to start my own brand Sincerely Louise in my bedroom in a North London house share. I knitted giant animal heads and was commissioned to make a set for Boden, which were then displayed at Somerset House. My first book Faux Taxidermy Knits was published in 2014 and I launched my first set of knitting kits alongside it. From there I moved to South London and took on a studio in Brixton where I grew the business with my two assistants. In 2016 I won the grand prize at the Etsy Awards, which was voted for by the general public. After an amazing six years in London I recently relocated my studio to an old steel works in Sheffield. You'll find me in the Peak District when I'm not knitting.

My work combines my love of knitting, photography and design. I love creating fun and easy patterns that bring a smile to people's faces. The Knitter's Activity Book is based on 1970's annuals and was so much fun to work on. I can't wait to see what you make from it and don't forget to share all your finished knits with me on my social channels @sincerelylouise.
