Blair West Thomson

Blair West Thomson comes from a small town on the shores of Puget Sound. He was homeschooled through his high school years and entered college early with an interest in creative writing.

He began writing his first novel, ViraCocha, to fill the long, quiet and often uncomfortable hours of a night job. ViraCocha was published as an e-book in 2017. ViraCocha: Book Two followed soon after.

He continued writing in the fantasy genre, producing the Necromancer's Dream and Necromancer's Will. In 2023 he broke into Science Fiction with Olympus: Rising, a story of the human colonization of Mars, rebellion and giant robots.

In that same genre, Beginners Space Guide (2024) was originally published as a series via Kindle Vella, now an e-book. Blair describes it as "pure snark." A slyly humorous tale of space survival on "A booze cruise gone wrong."

An avid reader with eclectic interests he takes inspiration from movies and RPG video games and their concept art, current affairs, comparative religion. economics, and history.

He currently resides in Southwest Washington State near the mighty Columbia River.
