Initially an open mic poet, Josephine LoRe’s words have now been published in Canada, the United States, England and Japan, shared on youtube, interpreted through American Sign Language, painted and even danced on the stage!

In 2018, Loft 112 published her first chapbook Unity. The Cowichan Series is her second collection to be published. It was written during a stay on Vancouver Island, inspired by the land and resonating with memory and hope. It features poetry and photography, and there is a corresponding album of the same name with music composed and performed by Calgary's Jim Jackson.

The Cowichan Series is #1 on the Calgary Herald's Bestseller List for the week of June 22, 2019.
