Tara E. Nichols

Tara Nichols, LPC, CPCS, is a Licensed Professional Counselor and clinical leader serving individuals and families impacted by mental health and substance use challenges. She holds a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling. Her clinical work is grounded in culturally responsive care and a deep understanding of trauma, resilience, and crisis.

She is the Founder and Executive Director of Nichols Center, Inc., a nonprofit organization established in 2013 to provide accessible, culturally competent, and trauma-informed mental health services. Under her leadership, the organization has developed innovative community-based prevention programs, expanded access to care, and led impactful outreach and engagement initiatives that support healing and long-term recovery.

Tara is also an author and program developer. She has written multiple programs designed to promote personal growth, accountability, and emotional well-being. Through writing, training, and community education, she continues to advocate for mental health awareness and equitable access to care.
