FRANK EBERLING is a multi-award-winning film and television Writer, Producer, Director, and Cinematographer with over forty-four years’ experience in the field, producing thousands of film and television segments.
In addition, Frank was a high school English/Drama/Filmmaking teacher for five years and a college filmmaking instructor for twenty-six years at Palm Beach State College.
He has written/directed two full-length feature films that have been distributed internationally and is the author of six novels, five of which are available on AMAZON.
EDUCATOR:
COLLEGE EDUCATOR: 1992-2018
Twenty-six years ago, Frank was hired to teach Broadcast Television and Filmmaking classes at Palm Beach Community College, now Palm Beach State College. He has taught Television Broadcast News, Documentary Production, Screenwriting, Directing for Feature Films, Producing Feature Films, Production Management, Acting for Camera, and Film Appreciation. Several years ago he was designated Adjunct of the Year at PALM BEACH STATE COLLEGE.
BURT REYNOLDS INSTITUTE FOR FILM & THEATRE: 2004-2014
Fifteen years ago, Frank started teaching Filmmaking, Producing, Acting, Screenwriting at BRIFT. On many nights he was team teacher with Burt Reynolds, teaching, directing, and filming dozens of actors’ scenes for educational/training purposes. Burt Reynolds appeared in one of Frank’s award-winning documentaries and one of his feature films.
SEMINAR PRESENTER: 1988-Present
For almost thirty years, Frank has been recruited to teach writing, literature, and filmmaking seminars and has lectured at Florida Atlantic University Lifelong Learning Center, Production groups, Theatre groups, Film Festivals, and Palm Beach County Public Libraries. Topics include Florida Literary History, Florida Filmmaking, Micro-Budget Film Production.
HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATOR: 1969-1974
Frank Eberling started teaching high school English, American Literature, Drama, and Creative Writing in 1969 at Palm Beach Gardens High School. He taught there for four years and was instrumental in developing the Film Study program there in 1970.

NETFLIX and AMAZON PRIME:
Frank recently had a film offered on NETFLIX that he wrote/produced/directed. TURKLES is about a group of twelve year-olds at Camp Loggerhead. While making a documentary about turtle nesting, the kids discover some bad guys are stealing the eggs. A family-oriented, environmental, mystery-comedy. Starring over sixty middle- schoolers, it was filmed by a crew made up of high school and college students under Frank’s direction. Burt Reynolds appears in a cameo role.

The past ten years have been exceedingly productive for Frank.
FLORIDA FILMMAKERS’ SHOWCASE:
Frank has completed two-thirds of the required legal paperwork to form his own non-profit, 501(c)(3). FLORIDA FILMMAKERS’ SHOWCASE will seek out and produce micro-budget Florida films by Florida filmmakers and star Florida actors. Florida will be a central character in all the stories.
FICTION WRITER:
Frank's very earliest fiction writing efforts won him recognition in a literary magazine, Since then, he continued to write fiction, short stories, six novels, and stage plays. Five of the novels are now available on AMAZON, along with an anthology of thirty-one short plays. Three more novels are scheduled for publication soon, along with an anthology of 31 of his stage plays.
BROADCAST CONSULTANT-PALM BEACH COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD:
In 2007-2008, Frank served as a special Broadcast Consultant for The Palm Beach County School Board's television station, THE EDUCATION NETWORK. Working with the Station Manager, Frank helped the station transition into a new phase of innovative programming
SCREENWRITER:
Frank has completed thirty screenplays, two of which went into production and were distributed internationally. Two other screenplays were optioned by producers but not produced. Many of his short plays have been produced on stage.
TURKLES:
Frank's second full-length feature film, TURKLES, an environmental mystery for kids involving the stealing of eggs during turtle-nesting season was picked up for both international distribution and domestic DVD and streaming distribution. Anyone who has ever made a feature film can tell you the difficulty and the odds of accomplishing this. It was made with an all-volunteer crew made up of high school and college students.
