Kris Miners

Kris Miners is an English children's book author and illustrator. He is the creator of the popular Hornbeam Hollow series. Kris's debut book 'Hornbeam Hollow: The Hunt for the Halloween Pumpkin' launched in 2019 and the follow-up title 'Hornbeam Hollow: The Legend of Jack the Squeaker' was published in July 2020.

Hornbeam Hollow is the name of an enchanted woodland where lots of critters live and go on adventures. Using an outdoor setting, Kris hopes that it will encourage children to care for, and respect our natural environment - as well as spend more time enjoying what nature has to offer us.

All of Kris's work features hand-painted illustrations using traditional techniques rarely used today.

Although Kris illustrates broad and varied themes, it is Halloween, Bonfire Night and Christmas that often feature strongly in his work.

Kris currently resides on his farm in the West Country, UK and he has two children and a pug!
