A. N. SCHWEITZER has a Ph.D. in biology from Cambridge and spent many years in academic research focused on infection and immunity. As well as writing fiction, she designs, sews and sells eco-friendly bags handmade from recycled fabrics. Raised in South Wales, she now lives near Boston and is married with two daughters.
