Christy Burbidge

Much of my writing explores the human-animal bond and the wildlife of New England. My Paulie the Piping Plover series was inspired by my childhood on the beaches of Martha's Vineyard and fond memories of nesting plovers at Norton Point and other locations throughout the island.

Since 2022, I have served as a judge for the annual Dog Writers Association of America competition. My recent flash fiction and other writing have appeared in Akitsu Quarterly, Otherwise Engaged: Literature and Arts Journal, and Ruff Drafts.
