Tweedy Britches might be young, but he has already spent years learning the secrets of avoiding monsters, escaping from monsters, destroying monsters, and helping other people stay safe from monsters. Now he uses his expertise to help others avoid becoming part of a monster menu.
He doesn’t allow himself to be photographed because if monsters knew what he looks like, they’d have an easier time finding him. He rarely leaves the house because there are lots of dangerous monsters outside. There are some inside, too, but there’s less space for them to be lurking indoors, making it a safer than the whole outside, which is pretty huge.
Tweedy is in sixth grade at Bram Stoker Middle School in Senoia, Georgia, but you’ll never see him there. When the teachers call his name, he never raises his hand. There’s no way to be sure that the teacher isn’t really a witch or vampire or some other horrible creature in disguise that’s hoping to catch Tweedy with his guard down. As a result, Tweedy has a terrible attendance record. On the upside, he’s never been swallowed whole by a werewolf. A clean permanent record doesn’t do you any good if you’re stuck in the belly of a monster.
If you want to contact Tweedy, be aware that he never answers the door, the phone, or the mail. After all, monsters can be hiding anywhere. You can reach his editor by sending an email at www.KissingFrogBooks.com. His editor will respond if she hasn’t already been eaten, and she’ll let Tweedy know that his work has saved another reader from a cruel fate on the claws or in the jaws of a disgusting monster.
Stay safe!
