Staci Haley

Staci Haley grew up on a farm with three siblings, two parents, open fields and a mind overflowing with colorful characters. Her days were spent avoiding many of the sports activities of her older siblings by playing with any animal she could catch. Those critters were her best friends. There were hours of dress up, seeking treasure, playing house and swinging to the moon.

Staci grew up and got a "real" job (poor girl) but always loved creating stories in her mind. Staci's children reminded her of the silliness she had forgotten as an adult and she decided to re-capture her creativity by writing again. Staci is inspired by all the quirky sayings and the wonder children see in everyday moments. She practices mindfulness every day to help her see the world as a new discovery with off-the-wall ideas.

Her character, Lil' M, is based upon her farm memories and her children's wacky personalities. The animals in the stories have their own unique personalities, just like the animals from her childhood. Pick up one of her books and enjoy being surrounded by grumpy, quirky, or just plain silly farm animals and their best friend, Lil' M.
