Tess Padmore was born and raised in New York City, New York. Writing came to her late in life inspired by music, family, friends, illness, dreams and the world around her. Writing freestyle not knowing anything specific about genres or the multiple modes of expression within writing. In 2016 she began taking creative writing courses at a local community to learn the craft. She had plenty of stories to tell but it wasn’t until she began taking these classes that she understood how these stories could be told – plays, poetry, prose, short fiction, flash fiction. It was as if the flood gates had finally opened and the possibilities now seem infinite. She's lived a rich life and hopes other people can be inspired by some of her adventures and mishaps.
She has also lived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Juneau, Alaska. A self-described citizen of the world, she hopes one day to live overseas. Now retired and living in Rochester, New York, where she is an inventor, writer, and entrepreneur, and shares her home with her two rescue Yorkie-Chihuahua litter mates, Beau and Ruby.
