Simon Higginson

Simon Higginson was born in 1971 in Lancashire, UK. He grew up riding his chopper bicycle on the bone shaking cobbled back streets of Bolton

Having joined the Royal Navy at 18, he served queen and country for 22 years before going on to work in the oil and gas industry for 5 years. His travels and experience of working with a wide spectrum of cultures taught him empathy, understanding and patience. Essentially it taught him to see the world through the eyes of people from all walks of life.

Simon has been writing novels on and off for the last few decades, but this is his first foray into the world of children's illustrated books. He has written six Pepper Witch books to date, two have been published (Pepper Witch and the Giant Salt Shaker and Pepper Witch and the Angry Giant), and is currently in the process of illustrating books three to six.
