Growing up in San Diego, I always loved the back country the best. I have wonderful memories of cows grazing under the spreading oak trees, the smell of chaparral in the hot summer sun and the pine forests after the rain. My early years were spent adventuring. I explored the high country in Colorado, the pinon-dotted landscape of New Mexico and lived on cattle ranches in northern California and Hawaii.

Then a wonderful change came with love, marriage and a beautiful baby. My life settled down. Our hearts turned toward God. The years passed and we chose Idaho for retirement. Each vacation we explored further north until we found this beautiful Kootenai Valley. God brought us home. Now our hearts overflow with love and peace in this tranquil setting. There is a lifetime of inspiration here in our river valley ringed with tall green trees and snow-crowned mountains, all beneath clear blue skies.
