Amie Gonser

Amie Gonser is an elementary art teacher and local artist living in Round Rock, Texas. Being surrounded by young artists everyday, makes her teaching job very exciting and enjoyable. The art room is a great place to facilitate life lessons on accepting others and choosing kindness above all else.

Amie holds a bachelor of fine arts degree from the University of Louisiana in Lafayette and a master of fine arts degree from Florida State University. She enjoys the spontaneity of painting outdoors, en plein air. Amie is the founder of the artist group, Plein Air Round Rock, which meets once a month to paint various local destinations. Writing a children’s book which incorporates art with life lessons, has been a lifelong dream for Amie.
