Judy Ryan

Judy Ryan is an advocate for those with facial difference, and author of the memoir, A Face In Time (captures her life 1976-2003), which not only tells the story of her battle with a malignant facial tumor at the age of 16, but the damage caused by radiation treatment & the years that followed when she dealt with constant unsuccessful & harmful repair to her damaged eye, teeth, jaw, and skin. The 20th Anniversary Edition offers an Afterword (update) on how the last 20 years (2003- 2023) impacted her life with ongoing facial, dental, vision, and emotional challenges.

Tales of Grace is her first 4-part fictional series that focuses on 11-year-old, Grace Archer, who returns to school after recovering from facial cancer -- a story based slightly on Judy's experience. The books were created to offer a kind understanding to children and teens who struggle with bullying, acceptance, and the unexpected.

Judy is a native of Los Angeles & recently (2022) moved to Arizona. She enjoyed a successful career in retail for over forty years, but knew that her purpose was to help others overcome the risks & dangers of cancer "treatment."
