Ruby Romano

Ruby Roman’s gypsy life began when her father was in the service of his country and they moved every two years. “At least we can’t accumulate much,” her mother said with pride. Since Ruby has live in Southern California for a few years now, she doesn’t make that claim but still itches to travel since bitten by the bug. She visits relatives in New York where one cousin was a police officer and offered inside tips for Shady Gold.

Another favorite haunt is Florida where she spends time in Miami’s South Beach and on Worth Avenue in the Palm Beach designer shops that are mentioned in this book.

Her father was stationed in Bremerton where she worked a short while in the shipyard and at the local radio station before entering the University of Washington in Seattle. During those college years she worked for CBS and at KOMO dramatizing shows written by local writers.

Ruby married a Naval Officer and continued to travel, soaking up facts and sites to use in future novels, as four children joined their caravan. During those years there was little time to write, but now she’s an empty nester she hopes you will enjoy her “Gold” series.
