Christy Kirkpatrick

Christy Kirkpatrick is a freelance children’s book writer. Christy obtained a first class degree from the University of Warwick, U.K, before completing a master’s degree in English (Modernism) from Royal Holloway, University of London, U.K. She went on to obtain a PhD in English, also from Royal Holloway. Her PhD explored writing and publishing in the early twentieth century. Christy spent a decade working in academic and educational publishing before becoming a writer. She has a particular interest in phonics and early literacy and special educational needs and disabilities. She lives with her husband and three children in Surrey, in the United Kingdom..
