Lorrie A. Brinson (formerly Simmons) is an author, Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Government Finance Officer (CGFO), instructor, public speaker, and nonprofit founder whose work is dedicated to educating, empowering, and inspiring others. Her writing spans professional, inspirational, and personal development genres, reflecting both her extensive career in public finance and her passion for helping others overcome life's greatest challenges.

As Manager of Governmental Advisory Services for a regional CPA firm, Lorrie brings more than 23 years of experience serving local governments in accounting, financial reporting, grants, pensions, budgeting, debt management, and operational improvement. She holds a Bachelor and Master of Science in Accounting, as well as a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Public Administration. Her expertise has made her a trusted instructor, presenter, and resource for finance professionals throughout Florida.

Beyond her professional career, Lorrie is the founder of Victory Over Violence of Florida, Inc., a nonprofit organization committed to educating and empowering individuals impacted by domestic and sexual violence. As a survivor of date rape and domestic abuse, she shares her personal journey with honesty, compassion, and hope, encouraging others to break the silence surrounding trauma and embrace healing.
