Crystal spends her days caring for the sick and her nights chasing happy ever afters. Somewhere in between she finds time to feed her kids, dogs, chickens, and Churro, the rabbit. When she's not tending her zoo, she finds pleasure--and sanity--in deep conversations, coffee, and coloring outside the lines.

Several years ago, she was diagnosed with two rare conditions, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and a Chiari Malformation (which led to multiple surgeries, including one on her brain). Shortly after, her then 7-year-old son had open heart surgery. It helped her realize life is short, and she should do what makes her happy.

Writing makes her happy.
