Heidi Lee Jackson-Houck

Heidi lives in southern West Virginia with her husband and four young children. She works as an art teacher at the local elementary/middle school. She also operates the school library. She enjoys gardening and studying nature.

Heidi fell in love with children's literature after reading the "Little House" series by Laura Ingalls Wilder. Her first book, "A Special St. Nicholas Day," is about a holiday that her family celebrates resulting from traditions brought from eastern Europe by her grandmother. Heidi and her family are very proud of their heritage.

Her second book, "Ring In Spring," was inspired by her children's love to find nature's treasures as spring arrives.
