Ellenora Baldwin Herrschaft was born at home on a dirt country road in Franklinville, New Jersey on November 13, 1930. It was near the end of the Great Depression however she was lucky to be born on a farm were there were a lot of animals and vegetables for food. She grew up isolated in the country and had few friends in the area. Her first audience for storytelling were the chickens, goats, pigs and dogs. Throughout her youth, Ellenora wrote stories that she set aside to develop in the future, In High School she joined the Journalist club and wrote a mystery series for the school paper. At graduation she wrote a four line poem for everyone of her class mates to be published in the Graduation book by their pictures.

In 1954 she met and married a naval man; they are still married today after 71 years. Over the years Ellenora raised four children, still she continued to write. After many attempts to publish but having no money to pay for editing or assistance, she stored the writings. Ellenora never gave up hope and believed that someday one of her children or grandchildren would be able to publish the stories. However, in 2017, she discovered "CreateSpace" and now at the age of 95 the stories are coming out of the attic to be published.
