Donna Sylvester is a passionate and committed network marketing professional who loves helping people find ways to pursue their dreams using an entrepreneurial business model.
As a newly graduated registered nurse, she entered the Army Nurse Corps in 1970. Over the next twenty-two years, she held a variety of positions ranging from bedside nursing in medical intensive care to serving as the nurse advisor on multiple new hospital construction projects. Her most demanding—and simultaneously most fulfilling—assignment was with the 95th Evacuation Hospital in Danang, Vietnam, from 1971–1972, where she provided care for soldiers with medical illnesses such as malaria, infections, fevers and gastrointestinal troubles. This was her first experience with the exceptional team bonds that can be built around a common purpose.
In 1991, she retired as a Lieutenant Colonel, moved to Denver and entered the civilian sector, where her leadership, team-building, writing and teaching skills were tapped in positions as director of nursing in an acute ventilator hospital and director of education for a national designation program. The economic downturn of 2008–2009 created an opportunity for her to move away from thirty-nine years as a salaried employee to take on an entrepreneurial venture in network marketing.
Entrepreneurship was not a natural path and she had to develop the skills and discipline required to work outside a structured environment and take on full responsibilities for marketing, business promotion, lead generation, customer service, CRMs and record-keeping. Her first step was to join BNI (Business Networking International), where she spent six years and developed her strengths in making connections, bringing value to others and building a robust referral network. She is well known in her community for the quality connections and referrals she makes. These networking skills have been pivotal to her success in network marketing as she gathers customers and Affiliates for her team.
She joined SendOutCards in 2010 and began working full time in 2015 as a Relationship Marketing Strategist who helps businesses increase the personalization, responsiveness and consistency in their follow-up systems. Her goal is to use her leadership, mentoring and team-building skills to help hundreds—maybe thousands—of others create a side stream of additional income to fund their dreams and ambitions.
Donna lives in the Denver area where she loves the mountains, playing golf and riding her motorcycle. One of her dreams is to own coastal property in Oregon near her family in Portland.
