I am a retired mental health professional and educator from central Arkansas, mother of three and grandmother of five. I have a Bachelor 0f Science in Psychology, a Master of Science in Community Service Counseling and am a licensed teacher and guidance counselor in this state. I have spent my life teaching and guiding children and books have always been a huge part of that. I read to my own children and later my grandchildren. During my eight years as a family counselor in a community mental health clinic, later as a junior high school teacher for five years, as an elementary school counselor for three years, and finally as a high school guidance counselor for twenty-five years book therapy was always my favorite tool. After retirement I continued that tradition by volunteering at a local elementary school and having struggling readers read to me.

I create picture books to be used by parents and educators to influence future generations and hopefully make a difference in children's lives. My books are all short, engaging stories whose purpose is to teach an old-fashioned moral principle that is still very relevant today. They teach principles such as overlooking differences in outward appearance, showing kindness to others by following the Golden Rule, taking responsibility for one's actions, and looking for and following God's plan for your life.

I now live on a farm with my husband of fifty-two years and my time is spent volunteering at my church, the schools, writing and promoting books, and being my grandchildren's biggest baseball, softball, basketball, and football fan!!!! That alone is almost a full-time job!!!
