Paul Myatt is a passionate teacher, performer, coach, author, composer and workshop facilitator. His purpose and passion is to continue to learn and work with people to assist them in developing their skills to achieve their goals. His experience extends across many fields: music, business, technology and sports.
Along with colleague, Gillian Erskine, Gillian & Paul created Piano Teaching Success a thriving membership group that helps teachers teach better using 21st century teaching strategies which have been proven to help kids learn more effectively, play for longer and help create the musicians of tomorrow. Paul has also been instrumental in the development of Whole Body Learning (wholebodylearning.org), the approach used by Forte School of Music and is involved in developing Professional Development programs for music teachers including Piano Teaching Success TV and the PTS Q+A TV show.
Forte School of Music is a thriving and growing network of music schools & studios with over 7,500 students across locations in Australia, New Zealand, UK and US. Since 1994, they have worked with their music teaching business partners to help them build their studio businesses in all areas including education & training, marketing, human resources, management and administration.
As the co-author of the Forte course books, Paul has also co-created the Forte School of Music Teacher Training programmes which thousands of teachers have participated in. He is co-writer of the easiLEARNmusic educational text books which are published/distributed in Australia and the United Kingdom by Hal Leonard Corporation, the world’s largest music publisher. He is a regular contributor to British & Australian piano teaching magazines and is currently working on a book about Whole Body Learning, the teaching strategy employed by Forte School of Music.
