Taylor Thompson

Taylor Thompson grew up in the suburbs of Houston, Texas, and she holds degrees in Psychology as well as Applied Science in Medical Technology. Her frequent personal and, after being transferred to Chicago with a work assignment, professional experiences as the only African-American woman amongst her peers served as the catalyst for her first novel. Thompson's desire to inspire growth beyond the harmful effects on those suffering from, or worse, perpetuating self-devaluation, as well as her interest in issues of women's self-esteem, fueled her story. This is her first novel and she has written a children's book, "Her Hair's Not Right!"
