Lauren Hudson

Lauren Hudson is the author of award-winning YA fantasy series The Ascension Series and the fiction-nonfiction merger Students Leading America Series. Originally from the Northern Kentucky area, she has had dozens of appearances on local and national television and radio, including Fox and Friends and the John Stossel Show.

In addition to writing, she attends the University of Kentucky to study neuroscience and biology as a pre-med student. An author and co-author in professional medical journals, she conducts research on cancer literacy and is a primary editor of The Cancer Crisis in Appalachia: Kentucky Students Take ACTION.

In her free time, Lauren enjoys reading, exercising, and completing puzzles. Upon completion of medical school, she hopes to be a pediatric oncologist.
